What it is

Detection alone
doesn't put fires out.

A working fire panel will tell you something is wrong. Monitoring makes sure the right people are already on their way before the smoke gets serious.

The first 60 seconds of a fire decide everything that follows. Monitored detection compresses those seconds into the time it takes a phone to ring — and an emergency vehicle to start moving.

Fire alarm monitoring connects your detection panel to our Gaborone control room over a continuously polled signalling path. The moment a sensor goes into alarm — smoke, heat, gas, sprinkler flow, or a manual call point — the signal lands on an operator console with full site context: address, key-holder list, fire-zone diagram, and predefined escalation protocol.

The operator works two paths in parallel: contact the fire service with verified site information, and notify your key-holders. Every action is logged with a timestamp; every false-alarm signal handled by procedure rather than panic. System health is monitored continuously, so detector faults, battery low conditions, and panel tampers are caught before they leave you silently unprotected.

You get faster response, cleaner audit trails for insurers and compliance officers, and the confidence that "the alarm is monitored" actually means something on the night it matters.

Detection types

Five ways
to catch a fire early.

Modern systems blend several detection types so the right sensor catches the right kind of fire — fast smoke, slow smoulder, hot kitchen flame, gas leak, or somebody pulling a manual call point.

Smoke detectors

Photoelectric and ionisation sensors for early warning of smouldering or flaming fires.

Heat detectors

Rate-of-rise and fixed-temperature units for kitchens, plant rooms and dusty environments.

Gas & CO

Carbon monoxide and combustible-gas detection for boilers, kitchens and confined spaces.

Manual call points

Break-glass call points for human-initiated alarms — every floor, every escape route.

Sprinkler & VESDA

Sprinkler flow monitoring and aspirating smoke detection for high-value or sensitive areas.

From detection to response

The path the signal travels.

Fire service notified · in parallel
Step 01

Sensor activates

Detector goes into alarm or pre-alarm. Panel codes the zone, type, and partition; transmits over its monitored line.

Step 02

Signal received

Within seconds the signal lands on the operator console with site context, fire-zone map and escalation protocol auto-loaded.

Step 03

Verified & actioned

Operator notifies the fire service with verified site detail and contacts key-holders — both paths handled in parallel.

Step 04

Brigade on scene

Fire brigade arrives with site-specific information already in hand. You receive a timestamped event log by morning.

Compatibility

Works with the
panel you already own.

We support all major fire detection systems available in Botswana and Southern Africa. If you have an existing panel, we'll connect and maintain it. If you're starting fresh, we'll specify, install and commission to compliance standards.

Compliance & lifecycle

Designed,

maintained.

Fire systems aren't a fit-and-forget product. Detectors drift, batteries age, panels need annual inspection. We deliver every stage of the lifecycle, so the system you commission today is the system that still works five years from now.

Common questions

Things prospects
always ask first.

Have something specific to your premises? Send it through — we usually reply within a working day.

In an actual fire, staff are evacuating, accounting for colleagues, or fighting the fire — calling the brigade is rarely the first thing that gets done, and at night the building may be empty entirely. Monitoring guarantees the call is made within seconds, with verified site information, while your team focuses on getting people out safely.
Many commercial premises are required by their insurer, by their local authority, or by the Occupational Health and Safety Act framework to maintain a working fire detection system. We design and install to SANS 10139 standards (the regional reference for fire detection and alarm systems) and provide the audit-grade documentation insurers and inspectors require.
Best practice is quarterly inspection and annual full service — including detector sensitivity testing, battery health, panel integrity, and cause-and-effect verification. Our Commercial Plus tier bundles quarterly service into the monitoring fee; the Essential tier covers an annual visit.
Properly designed fire panels run on UPS-backed power with sealed lead-acid batteries sized for typical extended outages. We monitor battery and mains status continuously — if the backup ever runs low, we know about it before it becomes a silent gap.
Yes. Most modern panels expose a monitored output for offsite signalling — we'll add a communicator if needed and integrate it into our control room. We'll also do a compliance audit on the existing system as part of the takeover and flag anything that needs attention.
Same control room, different protocols. Fire signals trigger fire-brigade liaison and life-safety procedures; intruder signals trigger armed-response coordination. Many clients combine both — operators handle each on its own protocol, with cross-checks between systems.
Pairs well with

Layer up your
protection.

Fire detection is one signal among many. Most clients combine it with intruder alarms and CCTV — handled by the same control room, on the same monthly bill.
